United Healthcare wanted to show off their new unified health record system.
They wanted consumers to know that choosing United Healthcare as their provider meant more peace of mind. UHC’s data network was more advanced than most at the time, and allowed all "in-network" doctors to view a patient’s full profile. Saving time and lives via easy access to a patient's data.

UHC's marketing efforts at this point, had featured two dimensional number overlays. The ads felt busy, crowded and chaotic. So the client tasked us with finding an appealing way to show large amounts of data on and around people, to be used for their campaign update. IE. Fix the mess.

FIRST HERO IMAGES I DID FOR THE NEW CAMPAIGN'S LOOK

FROM HERE I BEGAN EXPERIMENTING WITH VISUALIZING DATA IN 3 DIMENSIONS

We then tackled how the numbers moved with the characters actions. We created particle generated clouds that could be effected by wind, gravity and other physics attributes. In conjunction with the modeled body number suits.

POST PRODUCTION: IMAGINARY FORCES
More tv spots were done in the same way, using particle systems to seed type & numbers of variable size, programmed to react to gravity wind, and movement using attractors and repellers based on what was going on on camera.
